HI! this is so sweeet thank you so much, love that fun fact... the color's appearance changes depending on the color surrounding it, so i suggest changing the background color into something darker / lighter, whichever you're comfortable with! can be low in saturation, low in value— just keep experimenting and see which works best for you^-^ i also recommend hue shifting for shading! in my opinion, using the same hue as the colors get darker just gives you like a muddierrr version of your base color. lets say that youre shading red. as your colors get darker, try going from red - pink - purple - blue while also lowering the value (lightness / darkness of the color); as your colors get lighter, try to use a slightly saturated yellow instead! while also going red - orange - yellow :3 you can look these up for an easier way to understand them, im pretty bad at explaining but i hope i helped anyhow
